California wildfire forces mandatory evacuations

SIERRA MADRE, Calif. (AP) - A wildfire that broke out in a popular hiking area blackened the steep slopes of the foothills near Pasadena and forced mandatory evacuations for 300 homes, authorities said Sunday.
