Friday, Feb. 1
At 9:26 p.m. two female residents of Walker Hall reported getting obscene phone calls to their dorm room. The calls were done by an unidentified male and were of a sexual nature. The residents reported they had been getting the calls since the beginning of last semester. The calls are believed to be related to fraternity hazing and the residents have not decided whether or not to press charges. The case is pending
Saturday, Feb. 2
At 1:26 p.m. ISU police received a report of criminal damage in Hamilton Hall. Half of a bulletin cork board on the south wall of the first floor women's bathroom was damaged. The missing piece was found in one of the stalls. The Residence Hall Coordinator reported the damage had been done between 11a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost of the damage was approximately $25.
Sunday, Feb. 3
At 7 p.m. ISU police issued a citation to a male student in Wright Hall for a possession of a fraudulent driver's license. The license had been left at the overnight desk after the student had checked a friend in the night before. After the student was issued the citation, he was transported to McLean County Jail and released to their personnel.
Monday, Feb. 4
At 1:20 a.m. ISU police received a report of criminal damage on the 6th floor of Hamilton Hall. The resident assistant of that floor reported seeing a male student throw a stapler through a Plexiglas display case that held emergency instructions. When the student was questioned by police, a strong scent of alcohol was detected on his breath. The report was forwarded to Community Rights and Responsibilities.
At 5:27 p.m. Two female residents of Dunn Hall reported criminal damage to the window in their room. The students reported hearing their window break and looking out to see two male suspects throwing snowballs at the building. When the suspects saw that they had been noticed, they ran into the building using the lower entrance, leading the female students to speculate they were also students. A search of the premises for the suspects yielded negative results.
Tuesday, Feb. 5
At 3:16 p.m. ISU police arrested a male student for possession of drug paraphernalia in Haynie Hall. Two resident assistants confirmed a noxious odor outside the student's room on the 9th floor. When the police arrived, the student was very cooperative with the search. The police found a pipe with burnt cannabis residue inside, as well as several small plastic bags also with residue. The student was placed under arrest and the report was forwarded to Community Rights and Responsibilities.
