ISU students, organizations come together to mourn tragedy
In response to the lives that were tragically lost at Virginia Tech University on Monday, April 16, ISU organizations and students banded together and organized two events in remembrance and solidarity.

Four square marathon breaks several records
The eighth annual four square marathon sponsored by the Theatre of Ted this weekend broke several records.

Nothing to stop the cicada influx
Every 17 years, a periodical cicada emergence occurs in the Northern Illinois Brood of cicadas.
According to Doug Whitman, ISU biology professor, a cicada is an insect that lives most of its life underground sucking on tree roots. While some species stay underground for 17 years, some locusts, often confused with a cicada, come out every year in Bloomington-Normal.…
