Redbirds 4 Relief takes on new cause
The third annual Redbirds 4 Relief, an event aimed at raising money for crisis relief around the world, will take place this Wednesday, Nov. 15. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center.
This year's event will take the form of a benefit concert and will raise money for Oxfam International's Middle East Crisis Fund.…

Bush leads ceremony launching construction of King memorial
WASHINGTON D.C. (AP) - President Bush, appearing at a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for a memorial honoring slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said the National Mall monument will "preserve his legacy for ages."

Playwright students to stage short performances
Students in Leslie Sloan Orr's playwriting class will be presenting staged performances on Nov. 15-17 in the Allen Theatre.
The 10-minute plays, all written by ISU students, are all part of the fall 2006 Playwright Workshop. All students in Sloan's class are required to be part of the workshop.…

Students with college degree make more money
According to data from the Census Bureau, on average students with a bachelor's degree make about $23,000 more a year than people with high school diplomas.
The most recent figures available show college graduates made an average of $51,554 in 2004 compared to the $28,645 for adults with high school diploma's.…
